Attach hose (A1) to pressure tap (HA) . Attach hose (A9) to pressure tap (HB) .
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle. Make sure that the parking brake is engaged. Put the tiller handle in the NEUTRAL position.
Move the bulldozer control lever to a position between the HOLD position and the FULL RAISE position. The reading on the pressure differential gauge is the margin pressure. Margin pressure is the difference between the pump output pressure and the signal oil pressure from the control valve. The correct margin pressure is 2100 100 kPa (305 15 psi).
When the reading of the margin pressure is not correct, refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Pump Control Valve (Steering) - Adjust". When the margin pressure is adjusted, set the pressure differential for the valve to 2100 100 kPa (305 15 psi).Test Procedure (High Pressure Cutoff)
The High Pressure Cutoff test indicates if the pressure compensator spool needs to be adjusted. The pressure compensator spool controls the cutoff pressure.
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Lower all of the implements. Engage the parking brake. Stop the engine.
Assemble Tooling (A) . Refer to Illustration 1 for the orientation of the parts. Refer to Table 2 for the required parts information.

Attach hose (A1) to pressure tap (HA) . Attach hose (A9) to pressure tap (HB) .
Start the engine. Run the engine at high idle. Release the parking brake. Apply the service brakes. Place the transmission in Neutral.
Move the tiller handle to a position between HOLD and the MID STEER LEFT POSITION.
The correct reading on Tooling (A5) is 38500 700 kPa (5585 100 psi). This pressure is the output pressure of the pump in the condition of high pressure stall. The reading for the pressure differential should be below 345 kPa (50 psi) with a maximum oil temperature of 66°C (151°F).
If the high pressure reading is not correct, the pressure cutoff spool should be adjusted. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Pump Control Valve (Steering) - Adjust". The following test results indicate leakage in the signal circuit: a high reading on the pressure differential gauge and a low reading or a normal reading on high pressure. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Steering Hydraulic Circuit - Test" for more information.Pump Load Test
