Connect the rod assembly to the bail (1) and the lever (2) for the position sensor.
Make sure that the lever (2) can rotate freely on the shaft (3) of the position sensor.
Place the PCS in the Weigh Mode. Press the "SERV" key.
Press the "NEXT FNCTN" key once. The display will show the current position of the lift arm. The measured units are internal to the Payload Control System (PCS).
Do not extend the position sensor past the maximum limit. Damage to the sensor will result.
Rotate the shaft (3) clockwise until a resistance is felt. Record the maximum position that is shown on the display.
Rotate the shaft (3) in order to achieve a reading between 6500 and 25000. Tighten the bolt that holds the lever (2) onto the shaft (3) .
Start the engine. Raise the lift arms slowly while you observe the reading on the display. If the reading reaches the value in step 7 minus 1500, return the lift arm to the fully lowered position. Shorten the length of the adjusting rod in order to obtain a lower reading.
Raise the lift arm again while you observe the reading on the display. The reading should be between 44500 and 61600. If the reading is over 61600, repeat steps 8 through 10. Use a lower reading when you repeat these steps.
