REWORK PROCEDURE
To rework the final drive it is necessary to replacethe parts shown in Illustration 1 (1356036 Lock, 1180028 Nut, 1180030 Spacer,2M4480 Ring, and 1288561 Hub) with the new parts shown in Illustration2. (1922368 Lock, 1922369 Nut, 1930349 Spacer, 1922370 Hub, and 4M0061Bolt).
Follow the SENR1727 Disassembly And Assemblysection of SENR8495 Service Manual to remove and install sprocket and finaldrive gear and pinion.
Care must be taken when installing the 1188605Bearing Assembly and the 1930349 Spacer in order to insure the parts arefully seated and no gap exists between them. Heating of both componentsprior to installing them is highly recommended. This will enable obtainingthe correct assembly and torque of the 1922369 Nut.
Rebuild the final drive group as necessaryreplacing all parts that failed due to the nut/lock problem.
