The new spring has both ends machined, so they are flat and exactly at right angles to the centerline of the spring. This will keep the spring and other parts in better alignment during operation, with less side force on the diaphragm and servo valves. The result is smoother operation of the control.Adaptable As: Direct replacement. Two different springs are used in the basic fuel ratio control groups for different models and applications, but each spring is a direct replacement for the former spring which is canceled. For identification, two paint stripes are used on the new springs in comparison with the single stripe on the former springs. The color of the paint stripes is not changed.
