The new position of the bushingNote: The old position of the bushing protrudes out of the alternator. The new position of the bushing is located in a recess in the alternator. The new position of the bushing is aligned with the alternator bracket.There have been a number of isolated instances of issues with the bushing on the alternator. Under certain conditions, the bushing can wear away the alternator bracket. This can result in the following issues.
The alternator becomes loose.
The alternator does not charge.
The alternator belts become loose.
The supporting bracket for the alternator is broken.
