Remove the swing drive. Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, thoroughly clean the exterior of the components. This action will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.
Remove the swing motor.

Remove O-ring seal (1).

Remove sun gear (2).

Remove carrier assembly (3).

Remove sun gear (4).

Remove retaining ring (6), thrust washer (7), planet gear (8), needle bearing (9), inner ring (10), and thrust washer (11).
Remove thrust washer (12).
Illustration 7 g03351344Note: Do no reuse spring pin (14).
Secure carrier assembly (5) in a suitable vice. Use a suitable punch to drive spring pin (14) into pin (13). Remove pin (13). Use a suitable punch to drive spring pin (14) out of pin (13).

Remove planet gear (16), needle bearing (17), and thrust washers (15) and (18).

Remove half collar (19).

Remove pinion shaft (20). Remove taper roller bearing ( 23 and bearing cover ) ( 24).

Remove roller bearing (21).

Use Tooling (A) to remove seal (22).
