A 1P-1853 Pliers 1 Note: Thoroughly clean all parts of the priority valve for the torque converter prior to assembly. Put clean oil on all internal parts.
Check the condition of the O-ring seals. If the O-ring seals are worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.

Install ball (10), spring (12) and retainer (11) in spool assembly (4).

Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (9).

Install slug (8) in spool assembly (4).

Install shims (5), spring (6), and spool assembly (4) in valve body assembly (1).
Install two O-ring seals (7) and two covers (2) on the valve body.
Install bolts (3) and the washers. End By:
Install the torque converter priority valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Priority Valve - Install"for the machine that is being serviced.
