3. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to the electric starting motor as shown.4. Put identification marks on wires (1) as to their location on the electric starting motor. Disconnect the wires from the electric starting motor.
View From Under Machine5. Remove three bolts (3) and the washers that hold electric starting motor (2) to the flywheel housing.6. Remove the electric starting motor and the gasket from the flywheel housing. The weight of the electric starting motor is approximately 32 kg (70 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the electric starting motor.7. Check the condition of the gasket used between the electric starting motor and the flywheel housing. If the gasket is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.8. Install the electric starting motor in the reverse order of removal.
