Start By:a. separate track assemblies Adjust the height of Tooling (A), so when it is installed under the undercarriage frame assembly, there is enough clearance between the sprocket and the track links for removal of the sprocket from the final drive.1. Lift the side of the machine, and install Tooling (A) under the undercarriage frame assembly as shown. 2. Remove 23 bolts (1) and the washers that hold the sprocket to the final drive.3. Install M30 forcing bolts in two forcing bolt holes (2) in the sprocket. Tighten the forcing bolts evenly to separate the sprocket from the final drive. 4. Install a lifting strap through the top mounting hole in the sprocket. Fasten a hoist to the lifting strap.5. Remove sprocket (3) from the final drive. The weight of the sprocket is 148 kg (325 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the final drive sprocket.6. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the sprocket and final drive prior to installation of the sprocket.7. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to sprocket (3). Put the sprocket in position on the final drive. Remove the hoist and lifting strap.8. Put a thin coat of 9S-3263 Thread Lock on the threads of 23 bolts (1) that hold the sprocket to the final drive. Install the bolts and washers that hold the sprocket to the final drive. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 1800 200 N m (1320 150 lb ft).9. Raise the machine, and remove Tooling (A) from under the undercarriage frame assembly.End By:a. connect track assemblies
