Information:
Switches provide an open, ground or +battery signal to the switch type inputs of the Main Display Module. Switches are two state devices; either open or closed. When a switch is open, no signal is provided to the corresponding input of the ECM. This "no signal" condition is also referred to as floating. When a switch is closed, either a ground signal or +battery signal is provided to the corresponding input of the ECM.Clear/Mode Switch
Illustration 1 g00603447
Mode Scroll Switch The Mode/Clear switch is a double pole single throw switch. There are no diagnostics for this switch. The switch is mounted next to the main display module. In the mode scroll position, both circuits are connected to +Battery. In the hold position, both circuits are floating. The CLEAR/MODE Switch is used to move between the modes of operation. The switch is used to clear information that is currently displayed on the Main Display Module. Main Display Module will cycle through the different modes of operation when CLEAR/MODE Switch is held in the mode position. When the desired mode is reached, release the CLEAR/MODE Switch. The Main Display Module will remain in that mode of operation until CLEAR/MODE Switch is held down again. If the information that is currently displayed by the Main Display Module is not needed you can clear the information from the memory. The displayed information can be cleared by holding CLEAR/MODE Switch up for approximately one second until the information disappears from the Main Display Module. Scroll Switch
Illustration 2 g00603448
DMode SwitchThe switch is a single pole double throw switch. There are no diagnostics for this switch. The SCROLL Switch is used to scroll through the various parameters that are available in a single mode. Main Display Module will scroll through the parameter display information that is available in the selected mode when SCROLL Switch is held in the up position. If you want to display a parameter continuously, hold the SCROLL Switch in the up position until the information is displayed. Then, release SCROLL Switch. The parameter information will remain displayed until Main Display Module receives another switch signal. Left Hand/Right Hand Switch
Illustration 3 g00603454
The switch is a single pole single throw (SPST) switch. The switch has only one circuit, so diagnostics are not available on this switch. The LH/RH Switch is used to display both the right and left hand parameter information on a single gauge. The LH/RH Switch can be toggled back and forth. Instrument Panels that have 2 Gauge Modules can show values for the right side and the left side.
