Alternator Belt and Water Pump Belt
Park the machine and stop the engine.
Open the engine compartment.

To check the belt tension, apply 110 N (25 lb) of force midway between the pulleys. Correctly adjusted belts will deflect 13 to 19 mm (1/2 to 3/4 inch).
In order to adjust alternator belt (3), loosen mounting bolts (1) and (2) .
To achieve the correct adjustment, move the alternator inward or move the alternator outward, as required.
Tighten mounting bolts (1) and (2) .Note: The alternator shaft nut must be tightened to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).
If a new belt is installed, check the belt adjustment again after 30 minutes of engine operation at the rated speed.
Close the engine compartment.
Park the machine and stop the engine.
Open the engine compartment.
