Start By:a. Remove the hydraulic tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Tank - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced. 1. Remove snap ring (1) and cover (2) from the hydraulic tank breaker relief valve. 2. Remove element (3) from the hydraulic tank breaker relief valve. 3. Remove hydraulic tank breaker relief valve (4) from the hydraulic tank. 4. Remove O-ring seals (5), (6) and (7) from hydraulic tank breaker relief valve (4). 5. Remove four nuts (8) and the washers that hold filler assembly (9) to the hydraulic tank. Remove filler assembly (9). 6. Remove filler cap (10) from the filler.7. Remove gasket (13), plate (12) and ball (11) from the filler cap. 8. Remove retaining ring (14) and screen (15) from the filler.9. Remove O-ring seal (16) from the filler. 10. Install Tooling (A) on cover assembly (18) of the hydraulic tank, as shown. Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to Tooling (A).11. Remove 70 bolts (17) and the locknuts that hold the cover assembly to the tank assembly. Remove cover assembly (18). The weight of the cover assembly is 48 kg (105 lb). 12. Remove four bolts (19). Remove sight gauge assembly (20) from the cover assembly. 13. Remove O-ring seals (21), plate (23), grommet (24) and sight glass (25) from retainer (22). 14. Remove six bolts (27). Remove baffle assembly (26) from the inside of the tank assembly and the filter base (not shown) from the outside of the tank. 15. Remove studs (28) from filter base (30).16. Remove O-ring seals (29) from filter base (30).
Spring (32) is under compression behind cover (33).
17. While holding cover (33) in position, slowly remove the two bolts and the washers that hold it. Remove cover (33), spring (32) and valve (31) from the filter base. Remove the O-ring seal from the cover. 18. Remove baffle tube assembly (34) from the suction block in the tank assembly. 19. Remove the nuts and the washers that hold drain valve body (35) to the outside of the hydraulic tank assembly. Remove the drain valve body from the hydraulic tank. 20. Remove drain plug (36) from the drain valve body. Remove O-ring seal (37) from the drain plug. Remove O-ring seal (38), valve (39), spring (40) and valve guide (41) from the drain valve body. 21. Remove eight bolts (43). Remove two covers (44) from the hydraulic tank.22. Remove the O-ring seals from covers (44).23. Remove two bolts (45). Remove the block from the inside of the hydraulic tank. Remove the O-ring seals from the block.24. Remove two bolts (42). Remove the block from the inside of the hydraulic tank. 25. Remove plug (46) from block (48).26. Remove O-ring seal (47) from block (48). 27. Remove four bolts (49). Remove cover (50) from the hydraulic tank.28. Remove two bolts (51). Remove the block from the inside of the hydraulic tank. Remove the O-ring seals from the block.
