Track rollers can be divided into inverted and conventional sealing systems. Conventional rollers, which have bothDuo-Coneseals floating, require mechanical assistance to perform the disassembly and assembly. An inverted roller has a fixed seal in the retainer and a floating seal riding on the shaft and requires no mechanical assistance. Both inverted and conventional rollers are candidates for a roller exchange program and reuse program, to decrease cycle times. The cycle times include disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and assembly for a roller. For proper disassembly and assembly methods refer to Undercarriage Reconditioning Guide, SEBF8599. Training on these procedures can be obtained by enrolling in an Undercarriage Service Training Class offered in Peoria, Illinois.Inverted

Like track rollers, track idlers are a candidate for an exchange program and reuse program and have an inverted and conventional sealing system. Idler cycle times include disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and assembly for an idler. Weld times include cleaning, pre-heating, and welding and do not include cool down for an idler. For proper idler disassembly and assembly methods refer to Undercarriage Reconditioning Guide, SEBF8599.
