The cushion-hitch uses hydraulics and pressurized nitrogen gas to minimize the vertical movements of the machine.The cushion-hitch can be turned on and off. The cushion-hitch should be turned on, except when the material is being loaded and when the material is being unloaded. With the activation of the cushion-hitch, the working cycle time will increase.The hydraulic system of the cushion-hitch has three major components:

Cushion-hitch pump (16) The cushion-hitch includes four other major components:

Hitch assembly (13) Bracket assembly (1) is attached to the scraper. Hitch assembly (13) is connected to the tractor. Upper link assembly (5) and lower link assembly (14) connect bracket assembly (1) and hitch assembly (13) .The rod end of load cylinder (10) is connected to bracket assembly (1) . The head end of load cylinder (10) is connected to hitch assembly (13) .The hydraulic oil tank supplies hydraulic oil to cushion-hitch pump (16) .Drain line (18) to the implement pump supply line drains the hydraulic fluid from the case of cushion-hitch pump (16) . The drain (screen) (22) is located at the end of the drain line (18) to the implement pump supply line. The drain (screen) (22) prevents large contaminants from flowing into the hydraulic suction line.The cushion-hitch may be turned on and off by switch (23) . The switch for the Cushion-hitch (23) is located on the right side of the operator seat in the tractor cab.The switch for the cushion-hitch (23) has two positions:
LOCKDOWN position
CUSHION RIDE positionWhen switch (23) is moved to the BOTTOM position, the switch (23) is in the LOCKDOWN position. When switch (23) is moved to the TOP position, the switch (23) is in the CUSHION
