Disconnect inlet hose (19) from port "A" of the left front-wheel assist motor. Use Tool (E) to plug the hose, and use Tool (D) to cap the port.

Remove the cap from pressure tap "C1" (20), and connect one Tool (A2).
Remove the cap from pressure tap "C2" (21), and connect one Tool (A2).Test Procedure

Move machine power switch (14) into the ON position. After the home screen is shown on display (22) press and hold push to start switch (13). Release the switch when the engine starts.

Actuate screen unlock switch (23) to enable the touch screen on the display.Note: When the display is enabled, an LED next to the screen unlock switch is illuminated.

Tap status icon (24) to enter the status screen.

Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Press rpm increase switch (25) once to operate the engine in high idle.

Monitor hydraulic oil temperature (26) on the display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches a minimum of 45 10 °C (113 18 °F).

If necessary, actuate the front-wheel assist switch (28) to enable the system. The indicator next to the switch is illuminated when the system is enabled.Note: Front-wheel assist dial (27) does not function on this machine. Rotation of this dial does not affect the front-wheel assist operation.
Rotate speed dial (29) until target speed (30) is approximately 5 m/min (16 ft/min).Note: The machine will move forward during the next step. Make sure that the sure the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions.

Squeeze trigger (31), and move propel lever (4) into the FULL-FORWARD position. Use Tool (A1) to record the left front-wheel assist pressure at pressure tap "C1" (20). Use Tool (A1) to record the right front-wheel assist pressure at pressure tap "C2" (21). The pressure at both pressure taps should be 20000 2000 kPa (2900 290 psi).
Move propel lever (4) to the NEUTRAL position.
Press rpm decrease switch (11) once to operate the engine in low idle.Note: If necessary. perform a regeneration cycle before the engine is stopped.
Press and hold push to start switch (13). Release the switch when the engine stops.Note: The differential pressure valves for the front-wheel assist system are not adjustable.
If the pressure is outside the specified range, go to the next step. If the pressure is inside the specified range, go to Step 16.

If the front-wheel assist pressure for the left motor was outside the specified range, replace left differential pressure valve (32).

If the front-wheel assist pressure for the right motor was outside the specified range, replace right differential pressure valve (33) This valve can be removed through a slot in the manifold mounting bracket.
Perform the test procedure.
Press and hold push to start switch (13). Release the switch when the engine stops.
Move machine power switch (14) to the OFF position.
Remove Tool (A2) pressure tap "C2" (21), and replace the cap.
Remove Tool (A2) from pressure tap "C1" (20) and replace the cap.
