Note: O-rings should always be replaced. A used O-ring may not have the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. A reconditioning procedure should not be degraded because of a low cost component such as an O-ring or a gasket. Use 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound during the assembly procedure.

Use chains and a suitable lifting device in order to install bucket (15). The approximate weight of the multipurpose bucket is 3379 kg (7450 lb). Install the bucket.
Remove the cable straps in order to release the hose assemblies.

Use a chain and a suitable lifting device to support arm and bearing assembly (13). Place the arm and bearing assembly in position with the bucket.Note: Lubricate the bores of the pin assembly and the arm and bearing assembly with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease before assembly.
Install pin assembly (14) with Tooling (B) and (E). Install the pin assembly with the filler plug at the top.Note: Center the pin assembly in the arm and bearing assembly, and in the brackets of the bucket before you tighten the bolts.

Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb ft).Note: If you removed bolts (12), the washer and the bar, you should assemble the bar against the milled shoulder on the arm and bearing assembly. You need to tighten bolts (12) at this time.

Put 4C-5598 High Temperature Anti-Seize on Collets (8) and (11) .Note: Clean the mating surface of the collets. Put the high temperature anti-seize on both the outside diameter and the inside diameter of the collets.
Install collet (8) and collet (11). Install washers (6), washer (9), bolt (7) and bolt (10) to the collets.
Tighten bolts (10) and (7) to a torque of 875 100 N m (645 74 lb ft). Hit the bolts with a hammer in order to reduce the torque on the bolts. Tighten the bolts again to a torque of 875 100 N m (645 74 lb ft). Hit the bolts again with a hammer in order to reduce the torque on the bolts. Tighten the bolts again to a final torque of 875 100 N m (645 74 lb ft).
Repeat Steps 3 through 8 for the other side of the arm and bearing assembly.

Use a strap and a suitable lifting device in order to lift link and bearing assembly (3) into position.
Coat the bores for pin (5) with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease lubricant. Lubricate the lip seals with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Install pin (5) and bolt (4) .
Repeat Steps 10 and 12 for the link and bearing assembly on the other side of the bucket.
