Do not reuse elastic filled locknuts during assembly of the drum assembly. The used locknuts should be discarded and replaced with new parts.
37. Install pin/spur (50) on shaft (51). Put the spring pin hole in the shaft in alignment with the spring pin hole in the pin/spur. Install a new spring pin (49) to hold the unit together. 38. Install bushing (48) in frequency shaft (42). Install a new seal (47) in the bushing. 39. Put spring (46) in position in frequency shaft (42) as shown. 40. Put a thin coat of 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease on the sliding surface of pin/spur shaft (42). Install pin/spur shaft (45) in frequency shaft (42). 41. Put bushing retainer (44) in position on the frequency shaft. Temporarily install three M8 × 1.25 × 40 mm bolts to hold it. Tighten the bolts to compress spring (46) in the frequency shaft. Put 9S-3263 Thread Lock on three original bolts (43), and install them in the frequency shaft in the open bolt holes. Tighten these bolts. Remove the three longer bolts in the frequency shaft, and install the remaining original three bolts (43) as described above. Tighten bolts (43) to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft). 42. Install outer weight (41) over frequency shaft (42) as shown. Be sure the alignment marks on the components line up with each other.43. Put a thin coat of 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease on the sliding surfaces of inner weight (40). Install the inner weight in the outer weight and the frequency shaft. 44. Install bushing (39) in vibratory shaft (36). Install the vibratory shaft in inner weight (40) and outer weight (41). Be sure the alignment mark on the vibrator shaft lines up with the alignment mark on outer weight (41). 45. Put 9S-3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the eight bolts that hold the weight shaft together. Install the eight bolts, eight tab locks (37) and sixteen nuts (38) that hold the weight shaft together. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 61 12 N m (45 9 lb ft). Bend the tab locks over the nuts. 46. Install the bearing in lower housing (35). Put the bearing retainer in position over the bearing in the lower housing. Put 9S-3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the four bolts that fasten the bearing retainer to the lower housing, and install the four bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 22 N m (16 lb ft).47. Install O-ring seal (34) in lower housing (35).48. Fasten Tool (F) and a hoist to the end of weight shaft (33). Install the weight shaft into the lower housing. 49. Using new gaskets, reinstall oil filler (30) and sight gauge (31) in upper housing (26). 50. Install bearing (29) in upper housing (26). Install bearing retainer (28) and four bolts (27) that hold the retainer in position. 51. Fasten Tooling (C) and a hoist to upper housing (26). Put the upper housing in position
