1. Using a pry bar, move front idler and recoil spring (1) partially out of the track roller frame as shown.2. Fasten a hoist to front idler and recoil spring (1) as shown. Slide the front idler and recoil spring out of the track roller frame as a unit. The weight of the unit is 250 kg (550 lb). 3. Support the front idler and recoil spring as shown. Remove four bolts (3) that hold the front idler to the recoil spring. Separate front idler (2) from recoil spring (4). The weight of the front idler is 136 kg (300 lb). The weight of the recoil spring is 113 kg (250 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the front idler and recoil spring.4. Be sure the mating surface on the yoke for the front idler and the support for the recoil spring are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to reassembly.5. Fasten a hoist to the recoil spring. Put the recoil spring in position against the yoke. Temporarily install four bolts (3) that hold the unit together.6. Fasten a hoist to the front idler and recoil spring, and put the unit partially into the track roller frame leaving bolts (3) exposed. Remove the hoist from the unit. Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 175 17 N m (130 13 lb ft).7. Use a pry bar, slide the front idler and recoil spring the remainder of the way into the track roller frame.End By:a. connect track assemblies
