This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS0998" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The rim assemblies on some 994 Wheel Loaders may not provide the expected service life. Rims on 994 Wheel Loaders are a wear item with a finite life. This life can be affected by various conditions. On some rims corrosion in the gutter section area may cause the rims to crack prematurely. These cracks progress relatively slowly an can be readily observed during routine maintenance. The gutter section of the new rims are thicker and an improved paint is used. These changes will help provide a longer service life.

Parts Needed
1 - 1387584 Rim Assembly (36")or1 - 1388611 Rim Assembly (44") The 1387584 Rim Assembly replaces the 1097131 Rim Assembly and the 1388611 Rim Assembly replaces the 1097129 Rim Assembly. Order the rim of the proper size to replace the failed rim. Do not order both.
Action Required
After a failure, replace the failed rim assembly with the new rim assembly. The 1387584 Rim Assembly replaces the 1097131 Rim Assembly and the 1388611 Rim Assembly replaces the 1097129 Rim Assembly.
When installing the new rim, tighten the nuts to 1300 N m 200 N m plus an additional 90 5 degrees.
