Water Pump Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace

Open the access door for the engine compartment on the left side of the machine.
Inspect the condition of the belt. If the belt is worn or damaged, replace the belt.

Use 144-0235 Belt Tension Gauge (3) in order to measure the belt tension. The belt tension for a used belt should be between 401 to 489 N (90 to 110 lb). A belt is considered used when the belt has been operating on a machine for at least 30 minutes.
If the tension for a used belt is not between 401 to 489 N (90 to 110 lb), loosen bolt (1) and (2) and adjust the pulley in order to obtain the correct belt tension.
After installing a new belt, adjust the pulley so that the tension is between 467 to 689 N (105 to 155 lb).
Run the machine for 30 minutes.
Use 144-0235 Belt Tension Gauge (3) in order to measure the belt tension. The belt tension should be between 401 to 489 N (90 to 110 lb). If the belt tension is not the correct value for a used belt, repeat Step 4.
Close the access door for the engine compartment on the left side of the machine.
