In this category, the alert indicator and the action lamp flashes and the action alarm sounds at a pulse rate. This category requires an immediate safe engine shutdown. Injury to the operator and/or severe damage to machine components can occur. The following indicators can be illuminated with Warning Category 3:
Engine Oil Pressure (16)
Secondary Steering (17)
Engine Coolant Temperature (18)
Hydraulic System Failure (19)
Power Train System (20)
Charging System (21)
Parking Brake (23)Note: Power Train System (20) will illuminate when all of the following conditions are true:
The tractor engine is running.
The transmission control is not in NEUTRAL.

Illustration 6 g01281791Analog Tachometer (25) - When the Caterpillar Monitoring System is operating in the tractor mode, the tachometer will display the tractor engine rpm. The tractor engine rpm is the default reading on the tachometer. When the Caterpillar Monitoring System is in the scraper mode, the tachometer will display information for the scraper engine.Transmission Gear and Direction (26) - The digital readout displays the direction of travel during machine operation. Also, the digital readout will display the transmission gear that is being used during machine operation. When the Caterpillar Monitoring System is operating in the tractor mode, the digital readout will display the transmission gear of the tractor. The transmission gear of the tractor is the default reading on the digital readout. When the Caterpillar Monitoring System is operating in the scraper mode, the digital readout will display the transmission gear of the scraper.Digital Speedometer (27) - The speedometer displays the machine ground speed during machine operation. The speedometer is set to a default reading in mph. Also, the digital speedometer can display the optional reading of km/h.Indicators (4)

Left Turn Signal (28) - This indicator shows that the left turn signal is active.
Right Turn Signal (29) - This indicator shows that the right turn signal is active.
High Beams (30) - This indicator shows that the headlights are in high beam mode.
Transmission Hold (31) - This indicator shows that the transmission hold control is active.
Apron Float (32) - This indicator shows that the apron float is active.
Ejector Return (33) - This indicator shows that the ejector is in the return mode. The ejector is moving to the return position.
Tractor (34) - This indicator shows that the Caterpillar Monitoring System is in the tractor mode. The main display module and quad gauges are showing information about the tractor. Also, the speedometer/tachometer module, and actual
