Configuring Ethernet settings
The receiver has an Ethernet port so that the receiver can connect to an Ethernet network. You can use the Ethernet network to access, configure, and monitor the receiver. No serial cable connection to the receiver is necessary.The receiver requires the following Ethernet settings:
IP setup: Static or DHCP
IP address
Netmask
Broadcast
Gateway
DNS address
HTTP portThe default setting for the HTTP port is 80. The HTTP port is not assigned by the network. HTTP port 80 is the standard port for web servers. This setting allows you to connect to the receiver by entering only the IP address of the receiver in a web browser. If the receiver is set up to use a port other than 80, you will need to enter the IP address followed by the port number in a web browser.The default setting of the receiver is to use DHCP.To verify the IP address of the receiver, use the "WinFlash" utility as follows:
Connect the receiver to a computer running the "WinFlash" utility using 245-7310 Control Harness As .
Turn on the receiver.
Start the "WinFlash" utility on the computer.

Select MS9xx/MS352 receiver from the "Device Configuration" screen. From the PC serial port list, select the appropriate PC serial port. Click "Next". For more information refer to Illustration 1

Select "Configure Ethernet" settings from the "Operation Selection" screen, and then click "Next".

From the "Settings Review" screen, click "Finish". The IP address appears in the Ethernet Configuration dialog.

Select a Static IP address and enter the settings given by your network administrator. If your network installation requires the receiver to be configured with a static IP address, the Broadcast setting is the IP address that is used to broadcast to all devices on the subnet. This address is usually the highest address (usually 255) in the subnet.

After configuring the GPS receiver press the "OK" button. The following dialog will appear. Refer to Illustration 5Supported Browsers

"RJ45" Ethernet CableNote: If the receiver is already connected to the machine and has been assigned a static IP address, then enter the IP address of the receiver in order to access the device. Proceed to Step 5.
Attach the 382-0995 Network Cable As and 419-5974 Adapter to the receiver harness. Refer to Illustration 6.

Open a web browser and input the IP address of 169.254.1.0. A screen similar to Illustration 7 will appear.
The default username is "admin" and the default password is "password". Click the "OK" button after entering the information. The "Receiver Status" page should appear. Note: If the receiver has been configured to have a static IP address or the default password has been changed, then the
