This test checks the circuitry of the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device(ARD) head for proper operation.Required Tools
Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET)Test Preparation
Remove all covers to access the ARD fuel system, including all covers to access the fuel and coolant lines of the ARD.Test Procedures
Connect the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) to the service tool connector.
Start the engine.
Activate the “ARD Ignition Test”. The test runs for approximately 5 minutes.

While the ARD ignition test is active, inspect the fuel line and the coolant line connections at the following locations:
Inspect the fuel line connections at the ARD head for leaks
Inspect the fuel line connections at the ARD fuel manifold for leaks
Inspect the coolant line connections at the ARD head for leaks
