A 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound 1 Note: Use two personnel to position the pump and install mounting bolts.

Carefully install pump assembly (2) with attached mounting assembly (8) in the machine. Note: Align flat on the shaft of the pump with the bolt hole in the universal joint.

Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the bolt and locknut (4). Install the bolt and locknut (4) on universal joint (5). Do not tighten locknut (4) at this time.
Install bolts (7) in the steering column support. Do not tighten the bolts at this time.
Tighten locknut (4) and the bolt to a torque of 65 5 N m (48 4 lb ft).

Use the following procedure to adjust the position of the steering column:
Place the steering column in the fully forward position.
Pull up on the steering wheel or push down on the steering wheel in order to adjust dimension (X). The dimension between the bottom of steering wheel (Y) and steering column (Z) should be 2.5 1.0 mm (.10 .04 inch).
Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 47 9 N m (34.6 6.6 lb ft).

Install covers (6).

Install duct assembly (3). Tighten the two clamps.

Connect five hose assemblies (1) to pump assembly (2).
Refill the hydraulic tank (steering). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7093, "Steering System Oil - Change" for the correct procedure. End By:
Install the cab front cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab Front Cover - Remove and Install".
Remove the wheel chocks. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".
