Remove The Front And Rear Idlers
Note: The removal steps for the front idler and for the rear idler are identical.
Remove the valve core from the valve stem on the air spring in order to release the air pressure.
Force the front idler backward in order to retract the air spring. Use a lift truck or use another lifting device in order to lift the upper side of the belt. Lift the rubber belt from the midpoint. This is the preferred method for retracting the air spring.

Remove 16 bolts (1) in order to remove idler hub (2) . The weight of the idler hub is 81 kg (180 lb) .

Remove bolts (3) from cap (4) . Remove cap (4) and gasket (5) . Gasket (5) is not shown.

Remove cotter pin (6) , castle nut (7) , and the bearing.
Use two people in order to remove idler assembly (8) . The weight of the idler assembly is 80 kg (177 lb) .

Remove two nuts (9) from the two bolts. Remove shaft (10) .
