There have been reports of various failures of rocker switches on Backhoe Loaders and Compact Wheel Loaders. These failures typically relate to an intermittent function, open circuits, and loss of the function.Solution
Perform the following procedure before you replace the switch. This will determine if the root cause is a switch malfunction.
In order to remove any oxidation or nonconductive material, remove the switch and brush switch terminals.
Insert the cleaned switch.
Ensure that the switch is properly seated in the mating connector and test the function.
