Left Side of Machine (1) Front wheel assist manifold (2) Steering manifold (3) Pressure tap "G1" (4) Pressure tap "G" (5) Steering priority valveSteering manifold (2) is located on the left side of the machine near the tow point. The steering manifold is attached to front wheel assist manifold (1). The steering manifold is equipped with steering priority valve (5) and the steering select valve (not shown).The auxiliary pump supplies oil to steering manifold (2) at port "P". This oil is directed to steering priority valve (5) and to the steering select valve. Auxiliary pump pressure can be measured at pressure tap "G" (4). Steering priority valve (5) prevents oil from flowing to the front wheel assist system and other auxiliary functions until the auxiliary pump pressure is greater than 11500 kPa (1670 psi). The pressure downstream of the steering priority valve can be measured at pressure tap "G1" (3) .The steering select valve (not shown) is a solenoid valve that controls the flow of supply oil to the left and right steering control units. This solenoid is controlled by the left operator ECM, based on the position of the operator station selector switch. When the operator station selector switch is in the RIGHT position, this solenoid is energized. Also, hydraulic oil is provided to the steering control unit at the right operator station. When the operator station selector switch is in the LEFT position, this solenoid is de energized. Also, hydraulic oil is supplied to the steering control unit at the left operator station.
