WIRE AS 9W2176 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the magneto from the test bench. 2. Remove the four screws (1) from magneto cover (2). 3. Remove screw (3) which holds the two black wires to the cap. Remove the wires. 4. Remove two screws (4) which hold capacitor (5) to the cover. 5. Increase the temperature of solder (6) which holds the wires from the connector to capacitor. When the solder becomes a liquid remove capacitor.6. Put solder on the wires from the connector to capacitor (7). Follow the order on the schematic for installation of wires. 7. Install capacitor (7) to cover (2). Install two screws (4) that fasten the capacitor to cover. 8. Install the ground wire and tighten screw (3). Put cover (2) in position and install screws (1).9. Do the FAILURE ANALYSIS again to be sure the problem has been corrected.
