Weld each plate (19) into position. Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration all around plates (19).

Weld plate assembly (11) into position. Use a 12 mm (0.47 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld all around the 26 holes in plate assembly (11) using a 6 mm (0.24 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld the forward side of plate (10) into position. Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld the outside edge of plate (10) into position. Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld the inside edge of plate (10) into position from (C) to (D). Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld the forward side of plate (9) into position. Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld the outside edge of plate (9) into position. Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.
Weld the inside edge of plate (9) into position from (C) to (D). Use a 10 mm (0.40 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) weld penetration.

Grind off the paint before welding weld studs (12) to the truck body.

If a stud gun is available, then weld 108 weld studs (12) to the truck body with the stud gun.
If a stud gun is not available, then use a center punch to mark the location of the holes. Remove rubber liner assembly. Use MIG welder to weld around weld stud (12). Reinstall the rubber liner assembly.
Place hard washer (14) and full nut (13) on weld stud (12). Tighten full nut (13) to a torque of 156 30 N m (115 22 lb ft).

Place rubber plugs (15) into the holes by using a sledge hammer and soapy water.Miscellaneous
Remove all lifting eyes, alignment blocks, lugs, stiffeners, and braces from the truck body if shipping is not required.Note: If the body is shipped, some lugs or lifting eyes may be needed for tie-downs.
Grind the welds smooth prior to touch up painting and installation to the chassis.
Ensure that all welds have been inspected.
Clean the entire truck body.
Repaint the truck body, as needed.
