(2) Remove guard (4), side door (5) and hood assembly (6). Disconnect the hoses and an electrical wire from air dryer (7) [if equipped]. (3) Remove support (8) and water tube (9) [both sides]. Remove fuel filter (10) and lay back out of the way (do not disconnect the fuel lines). Disconnect the mechanical shut-off from the governor, and remove clips as necessary. Remove fan guard (10). Remove fan assembly (11) and lay up against the radiator. Disconnect the head lamp wires. (4) Remove air conditioner condenser (12) and lay aside. Do not disconnect the lines. Disconnect all other lines and wires as necessary to remove the radiator assembly. (5) With a hoist, lift the radiator assembly off the machine. Remove the fan from inside the radiator assembly and remove shield assembly (13). (6) Remove radiator assembly (14) from guard assembly (15). Lay guard assembly (15) down on a flat surface with the front of the guard assembly toward the floor. (7) With a cutting torch, remove area (A) from plate (16) at the dimension shown (both sides). Be careful not to damage the electrical wires. (8) With a cutting torch, cut opening (B) in plate (16) at the dimension shown. Make two braces (17) using 38 x 38 x 6 mm (1.50" x 1.50" x .25") angle. Install braces (17) at approximately the locations shown with fillet welds as necessary.Assembly Procedure
(1) Put 4W2875 Tank Assembly (1) in position on blocks as shown. Remove plugs (2), and clean the surface of all foreign material. (2) Using liquid soap as a lubricant, install eight 8N5130 Seals (3) and eight 8N7139 Seals (4) in the bottom tank in the sequence shown. Install 4W2872 Channel (5) [R.H.] and 4W2874 Channel (6) [L.H.] to the bottom tank with 0S1594 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers. Do not tighten four bolts (7) at this time. (3) Install 4W3297 Stiffener Assembly (8) with four 0S1594 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers. Do not tighten the bolts. (4) Using liquid soap, coat the top of the seal and install sixteen 2W6632 Core Assemblies (9). Make sure each core assembly is seated correctly in the seal. Install plate assembly (10) with 0S1594 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers. Install 4W3299 Stiffener (11) with 0S1594 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers. Install sixteen 0S1594 Bolts (12) with 5P1075 Washers in each stiffener and core assembly. Do not tighten the bolts at this time. Using liquid soap, install a seal on the top of each core assembly as shown. (5) Install 2W0924 Bracket (13) [one each side] with one 0S1594 Bolt (14) and one 0S0509 Bolt (15) with 5P1075 Washers. (6) Using liquid soap, coat the top of the seal and install radiator top tank (16) with sixteen 0S1594 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers. Install six 1D4717 Nuts (17) with 5P1075 Washers (each side as shown). Make sure each seal is correctly seated in the top tank. All bolts installed earlier can now be tightened. (7) Install the radiator
