The solenoid is a three-port pressure reducing valve. The solenoid is the proportional type. The ECM uses a pulse width modulated signal (PWM) to vary the current that is sent to the solenoid. The distance that is travelled by the solenoid valve is proportional to the electrical current. The position of the valve opens or the position of the valve blocks the flow of oil to the pump. When the solenoid is de-energized the flow of the oil is blocked. The blocked oil flow causes the pump to destroke.Solenoid (ON/OFF)

The solenoid for Travel Speed Change is an output of the machine ECM. The solenoid for Travel Speed Change sets the travel speed of the machine. The travel speed depends on the delivery pressure of the main pump. If the delivery pressure of the main pump is high, the solenoid for Travel Speed Change is de-energized. When the delivery pressure of the main pump is low, the solenoid for Travel Speed Change is energized. Swing Brake Solenoid
The swing brake solenoid is an output of the machine ECM. The swing brake solenoid is energized in order to release the swing brake. The swing brake solenoid is de-energized approximately 6.5 seconds after any lever is moved to NEUTRAL position, except the travel levers/pedals. Hydraulic Lock Solenoid
The hydraulic lock solenoid is an output of the machine ECM. The hydraulic lock solenoid is energized in order to enable the primary hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic lock solenoid is de-energized in order to disable the primary hydraulic pressure.2Way Lever Change Solenoid
