Start the engine and run the engine at high idle. Operate the control levers and move all the cylinders in order to increase the temperature of the hydraulic oil to normal operating temperature.

Lift Arm Supports
Lower the lift arms to the stands.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".

Loader Tower Access Panel
Remove the loader tower access panel in order to access the main relief valve and the line relief valves.

Connect 1U-5481 Pressure Gauge Group on the pressure tap. The pressure tap is located in the front frame and the pressure tap is accessed through the opening at the front.

Remote Pressure Tap
If the machine is equipped with a remote pressure tap, the main system pressure for the implements can be tested at that pressure tap. The remote pressure tap is located on the left side of the front frame at the hitch area.
Start the engine. Raise the work tool to the maximum height. Hold the lift control lever in the full RAISE position.Note: In the following steps, do not keep the lift control lever in the RAISE position for more than five seconds while the pressure is at the relief setting.
Increase the engine speed to high idle. Observe the pressure gauge. Move and hold the lift control lever to the RAISE position.
On a standard machine, the pressure setting for the main relief valve should be 20700 340 kPa (3000 50 psi).
On a logging machine, the pressure setting for the main relief valve should be approximately 20700 340 kPa (3000 50 psi).Note: If the pressure setting is correct, proceed to Step 11. If the pressure setting of the main relief valve is not correct, proceed with the following steps.If the machine is equipped with a main control valve (two function), refer to Illustration 3 for the location of main relief valve (1). If the machine is equipped with a main control valve (three function), refer to Illustration 2 for the location of main relief valve (1) .
