Information:

At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oils can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuit (boom, stick, bucket, and swing), travel circuits, and the hydraulic oil tank at the filler cap before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped and the filler cap is cool enough to touch.
Note: Some machines have an auxiliary hydraulic pump. This procedure includes removal instructions for that pump. When the machine does not have an auxiliary hydraulic pump, disregard these steps.
Drain the hydraulic oil from the tank.
Remove six bolts and the access panel that is located underneath the hydraulic oil tank. This allows access to the drain plug.
Remove the drain plug from the hydraulic oil tank. Install the ecology drain valve in order to drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank. Drain oil from the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic tank is 85 L (22.5 US gal).

Open the hood (1) to the engine compartment.
Remove two bolts (3) and the right rear cover assembly (2). Be sure that the quantity of shims and the locations of shims is noted for installation purposes.

Remove ten bolts (4) with washers and three upper sheet assemblies (5), (6) and (7) that separate the engine compartment and the hydraulic pump.
Remove six bolts (8) and three lower sheet assemblies (9), (10) and (11) that separate the engine compartment and the hydraulic pump.
Failure to properly assemble parts or failure to follow established procedures can lead to damage of the parts and assembly. To avoid damage to parts, always identify and mark the parts so that they can be installed in the same location. Ensure that gear surfaces align. Never force parts during assembly.
Note: Put identification marks on all of the hose assemblies and on all of the tube assemblies that are connected to the main hydraulic pump for installation purposes.

Remove the gear pump (pilot) (21). The estimated weight of the gear pump (pilot) is 1.3 kg (3 lb). Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Pilot) - Remove" in this publication.
Remove the auxiliary hydraulic pump (blade or swing boom) (19). The weight of the auxiliary hydraulic pump is approximately 5.0 kg (11 lb). Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump - Remove" in this publication.
Remove four bolts and disconnect tube assembly (15) from the bottom of the main hydraulic pump. Remove the seal assembly from the tube assembly.
Disconnect six hose assemblies (12) from the main hydraulic pump.
Disconnect two hose assemblies (13) and (14) from the main hydraulic pump.
The main hydraulic pump must be held level during removal and installation in order to prevent binding of the pump drive coupling in the engine flywheel.
