Parking brake system functionality has been changed to reduce the possibility of driving through the parking brake when the transmission is shifted into gear. The change is now necessary to have the park brake switch disengaged in order for the transmission to be shifted out of NEUTRAL.140M and 160M Models
A software change has been made to achieve the following:
To provide a more aggressive upshift from 5F to 6F and more aggressive downshift from 6F to 5F on 140M and 160M models.
To address a potential momentum loss during loaded 6F-5F downshifts.Note: This software change was introduced in previous Feb 2010 355-7019 Power Train Software Gp. The availability of this software was announced in Service Magazine, SEPD1100, "New Software is Now Used for the M Series Motor Grader".14M Models
A software change has been made to reduce dynamic torque at low engine speeds to prevent torsional coupler damage. This software change will automatically downshift the transmission to the next lower gear when the engine is lugged back below low idle while under load. The downshift of transmission will avoid the damaging dynamic resonance response caused by lugging the engine below low idle while under load.14M and 16M Models
A software change was made to reduce the time required for the engine speed to recover during 4-5R and 5-6R upshifts.Implement Software

A software change has been made to leave the secondary steering valves enabled if the event code E257 ("Steering Output Detected with No Command") or E256 code ("Steering Detected in Wrong Direction") are detected in the secondary steering (Power train) ECM.
A software change has been made to provide improvement in the steering axle to Left Hand joystick alignment when the machine is started.
Activation of the articulation return to center function has been improved.
Display for steering oil temperature has been changed in extreme ambient conditions. In extreme cold ambient conditions, the temperature displayed will be -50 deg C if MID 52 CID 75 FMI 03 is detected by Implement ECM. The temperature displayed will be +60 deg C if MID 52 CID 75 FMI 04 is detected by Implement ECM.
A software change is made to prevent implement commands other than the continuation of blade left and blade right float in the following condition:
The machine is stationary and the operator leaves the seat.
A software change has been made to change the temperatures at which event E599 WCI level 1 and level 2 events are activated.
Remove the following setting when straight travel calibration has not been completed:
Left Steering Cylinder Position Sensor Calibration - Required CID 2200 FMI 13
Right Steering Cylinder Position Sensor Calibration - Required CID 2202 FMI 13Note: The entry of steering cylinder trim values is still required for removing the above mentioned diagnostic codes.
Fixed steer cylinder trim calibration value being incorrectly accepted in ET if Out of Range Value manually entered in ET.
The software was changed to reduce the occurrence of diagnostic code CID 168 FMI-1 and FMI -4 Electrical System Voltage
