Information:
start by:a) remove steering cylindersb) remove drive shaft 1. Disconnect wire harness (3).2. Remove two clips (2) which hold the wire harness in place.3. Drain the fluid from the brake system. Disconnect brake line (1). Remove the bolt that holds bracket (4) to the frame. 4. Install blocking (5) between the rear axle and frame on both sides. 5. Install blocks (6) under the front frame as shown.6. Put an approved floor jack under rear frame as balance for the machine.7. Put a lift truck in position and fasten it to the rear frame. Put blocks in front and back of front wheels. 8. Remove the bolts which hold caps (7) in position. Remove the caps from the front frame.9. Make a separation of the machine with the lift truck. 10. Put tooling (A) in position under the rear frame of the machine. 11. Remove bolts (8), plate (9) and the shims. 12. Use a soft hammer to remove trunnion (10) and lower bearing. 13. Remove seal (11) and upper bearing from the frame. 14. Remove seal from plate (9) with tooling (B).15. Do Steps 11 through 14 for upper trunnion.Connection Of Main Frames
1. Put a small amount of 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the lips of all seals. 2. Install seal in plate (1) with tooling (A) as shown. 3. Install the upper seal in the frame with tooling (A) as shown. 4. Push the upper bearing into position with the use of tooling (A). Make an alignment of the grease groove in the frame with the grease hole in the bearing. 5. Put trunnion (2), bearing (3) and the plate in position. Make an alignment of the grease groove in the frame with the grease hole in the bearing. 6. Install tooling (C) and pull bearing (3) into position with plate (4). 7. Measure the gap between the frame and plate (4). 8. Add enough shims to make a gap of .02 - .03 in. (0.51 - 0.76 mm) between bearing (3) and plate (4). 9. Put shims (5) and plate (4) in position. Make an alignment of the identification marks on shims (5) and plate (4) with the centerline of the machine.10. Do Steps 2 through 9 for the upper trunnion. 11. Put an approved floor jack and lift truck in position for balance under the rear frame. Remove tooling (B).12. Push the rear frame and make an alignment of the front and rear frames. 13. Put caps (6) in position and install the bolts and washers.14. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 321 25 lb.ft. (441 34 N m). 15. Connect wire harness (7) and install two clips (8).16. Install bracket (9) and connect the brake line.17. Fill the brake system with brake fluid.18. Remove the air from the brake system.
