Illustration 1 g00894347The supply air flows from the air dryers through pressure protection valve (1). Pressure protection valve (1) is used to build up the air pressure in the air dryer circuit. When the air dryer circuit builds up enough air pressure the control valve starts to work.When the air compressor starts producing compressed air the air dryer circuit begins to build up pressure. Pressure protection valve (1) will not allow the air to pass until the pressure is greater than the pressure setting of pressure protection valve (1). When the pressure in the air dryer circuit builds up to the control valve setting the control module will start the purge cycles for the air dryers. The air dryers are purged in 30 seconds intervals until the air pressure in the air dryer circuit falls below the control valve setting.
