Port Locations for the Brake Accumulator Charging Valve (1) Accumulator port for the front brakes. (2) Inlet from the brake pump. (3) Plug. (4) Outlet to the hydraulic oil tank. (5) Outlet to the hydraulic oil filter. (6) Port for the brake oil pressure switch. (7) Adjustment screw cover. (8) Pressure relief valve. (9) Accumulator port for the rear brakes.The implement pilot/brake pump supplies hydraulic oil to the brake accumulator charging valve. The brake accumulator charging valve maintains the pressure in the accumulators at a constant range while the engine is running.

(14) Inverse shuttle check valve.The accumulator charging valve controls the flow of oil to the brake accumulators. Pressure relief valve (8) limits the oil pressure that flows to the brake circuit.Flow control valve (10) regulates the flow of oil to the brake circuit. Any excess oil that is not required by the implement pilot circuit or the brake circuit is diverted to the hydraulic oil filter.Note: The flow control valve (10) contains shims that set the standby pressure. The implement pilot/brake pump is at standby pressure 4050 210 kPa (587 30 psi) when the brake accumulators do not require charging.Check valve (12) prevents oil from flowing back through the accumulator charging valve and to the implement pilot/brake pump.The load sensing spool (13) is for controlling the cut-in and the cutout pressures for the brake accumulator charging valve. When the oil pressure in the brake circuit reaches the cut-in pressure, spool (13) shifts. The movement of spool (13) also causes the spool in flow control valve (10) to shift. Thus allowing oil to flow to inverse shuttle check valve (14). The movement of inverse shuttle check valve (14) allows the oil to charge the brake accumulators.When the oil pressure in the brake circuit reaches the cutout pressure, spool (13) shifts the opposite direction. The shift causes the spool in flow control valve (10) to shift, as well. Thus stopping the flow of oil to inverse shuttle check valve (14) .Oil flows through inverse shuttle check valve (14) to the brake accumulators during recharging. Pressurized oil from inverse shuttle check valve (14) flows to the oil end of the two brake accumulators. However, the oil flow between the two brake accumulators is kept separate.
