WIRING GP-RECEIVER 3998986 - Caterpillar

1. Drain the oil from the steering system hydraulic tank. The capacity is 14.5 U.S. gal. (54.9 litre). 2. Disconnect wire (2) from the steering system filter switch.3. Disconnect tubes (1) and (3) from the tank.4. Disconnect hose (4) from the tank. 5. Install tooling (A) on the tank and fasten a hoist as shown.6. Remove two bolts (5) and nuts that fasten braces (6) to the tank. Remove six bolts (7) that fasten the tank to the fender. Remove steering system hydraulic tank (8). The empty weight of the tank is 167 lb. (75 kg). 7. Put tank (8) in position on the fender and install six bolts (7) that fasten the tank to the fender.8. Fasten braces (6) to the tank with two bolts (5) and nuts.9. Connect hose (4) to the tank.10. Inspect the condition of the O-ring seals on tubes (1) and (3). Make replacements if necessary. Connect tubes (1) and (3) to the tank.11. Connect wire (2) to the steering system filter switch.12. Fill the steering system hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.
