Belt And Belt Guard Removal And Installation
1. Remove the bolts (1) which secure the belt guard (2) to the generator and cover (3), and remove the guard.
PREPARING TO REMOVE BELT GUARD
1. Bolt. 2. Belt guard. 3. Generator cover.2. Remove the three bolts (5) holding the exciter drive pulley (4) and insert the bolts into the threaded pusher holes of the pulley retainer (6).3. Tighten the bolts into the retainer, forcing the pulley off.
REMOVING PULLEY AND BELTS
4. Exciter drive pulley. 5. Bolt. 6. Retainer. 7. Drive belt.4. Remove the drive belts (7) as illustrated and replace if worn or damaged.5. Install in the reverse order of removal. For the adjustment of the belts see the topic, EXCITER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION.
