Information:

order to provide the correct control of the air/fuel ratio, the inlet manifold pressure sensor reading must be accurate. Put the engine shutdown and the ESS panel mode control switch in the STOP position. Read the inlet manifold pressure that is displayed on the CMS gauge "number 4". The inlet manifold pressure is an absolute pressure reading. The ambient pressure will vary depending on the altitude of the engine site and the ambient weather conditions. If the manifold pressure reading is not within 1 kPaa (.15 psia) of the ambient pressure, the following calibration procedure should be used.Note: kPaa is kilopascal measured in absolute pressure.
Set the mode control switch to STOP .
Shut down the engine. After one minute, display the setting and record the setting for the BTU.
Set the fuel energy value at 910 BTU.
Select the inlet manifold pressure display, CMS gauge "number 4" .
Connect a jumper wire between terminal "278" in the ESS panel and the battery negative terminal. Wait for ten seconds.
Adjust the fuel energy content dial until the CMS air pressure reading gauge "number 4" agrees with an independent gauge reading for the absolute ambient pressure.Note: If an independent gauge is not available to measure the absolute ambient pressure, the local weather station should be able to provide a reading.
Wait for one minute, then recheck the inlet manifold pressure reading.
Repeat Steps 6 and 7 if the inlet manifold pressure reading has changed.
Remove the jumper wire.
Readjust the fuel energy content setting back to the original BTU value.
