Start By:a. remove generator 1. Remove cover (1), gasket and pointer. 2. Remove two of the flywheel bolts and install two 5/8 -18 NF × 101 mm (4 in) Long Guide Bolts (2). 3. Fasten Tool (A) and remove the remainder of the flywheel bolts. Remove flywheel (3). The weight of the flywheel is approximately 150 kg (330 lb). 4. Remove gear (4) from the flywheel if replacement is necessary.Install Flywheel
1. Heat gear (1) to a maximum temperature of 320 °C (608 °F). Install gear (1) on the flywheel. Make sure the side of the gear with chamfer is away from the flywheel. 2. Install the two guide bolts in the crankshaft.3. Fasten Tool (A) to the flywheel (2) and put it in position, making sure the dowel (3) in the crankshaft is in alignment with the hole in the gear portion of the flywheel. Install some of the flywheel bolts. 4. Install pointer (4) gasket and cover. 5. Install the remainder of the flywheel bolts and tighten them to a torque of 270 27 N m (199 20 lb ft).End By:a. install generator
