TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Remove bolts (2) that hold the trunnion to the timing gear cover.2. Remove trunnion (3) from the timing gear cover.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE3. Remove covers (5) and (6) from the rear side of the timing gear cover.4. Remove bolts (1) and (4) that hold the timing gear cover to the engine.5. Remove the timing gear cover. The weight is 23 kg (50 lb.).Install Timing Gear Cover
TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Put a new gasket (1) in position on the timing gear plate. Cut the gasket even with the bottom of the cylinder block.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE2. Install timing gear cover. Install the bolts and nuts that hold it to the timing gear plate and block. Tighten bolts (2) and (4) to a torque of 23 4 N m (17 3 lb. ft.).3. Install trunnion (3).
TYPICAL EXAMPLE4. Install covers (5) and (6) on the rear side of the timing gear plate. Tighten the 5/8 in. bolts that hold cover (5) to a torque of 135 14 N m (100 10 lb. ft.).end by:a) install fan and fan driveb) install engine front supportc) install oil pan plated) install alternator
