The 152-1130 Retainer (part of the 170-3843 Filter Gp-Transmission) does not have a retaining ring to hold it in place when the filter element is removed. Consequently, when the filter element is removed it is possible for the 152-1130 retainer to inadvertently be removed with the filter element at a filter change. If the 152-1130 retainer is not in place, the new filter element will fall to the bottom of the filter group and the transmission oil will not be filtered. Solution:
New parts will be available shortly that incorporate a retaining ring to prevent the 152-1130 retainer from being removed with the filter element. Further communication will be issued when these parts are available.
