Tractors, Track-Type Loaders And Generator Sets Equipped With 9G1480 Switch AssemblyDescription of Change: A new start switch is used on the above models. The new switch has longer mounting threads and has an O-ring seal on the plate to keep out moisture. Moisture in the former switch could cause it to stick in the START position and possibly damage the starter. The new switch has a fourth terminal called OFF which is connected to the battery in the OFF position. This terminal is not used in 9G1480 applications.
Adaptable To: The new 9W1077 Switch Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 9G1480 Switch Assembly. Tighten the new switch in the dash to 18 2 N m (13 1 lb ft).
