When the machine is to be lifted, transported on another vehicle or service work is being performed near the center of the machine, connect the steering frame lock link between the front and rear frames to keep the machine in a straight ahead position. Before operation and when operating, be sure the steering frame lock link located near the center of the machine, is disconnected and pinned to the retaining plates.
Before service work has begun, park the machine on a hard, level surface. Block the wheels of the machine so unexpected movement will not occur. Unexpected movement of the machine will cause personal injury or death.
1. To connect the steering frame lock link, first put the machine in a straight ahead position and activate the parking brake. 2. Remove bolt (1), the washer, and pin assembly (2) from the front frame assembly (3). 3. Rotate steering frame lock link (4) in position on rear frame assembly (5). Install pin assembly (2), bolt (1), and the washer to rear frame assembly (5). It may be necessary to move the front frame assembly to the right or left to align the pin bores. The following steps are for the separation of the steering frame lock link.4. Remove bolt (1), the washer and pin assembly (2) from rear frame assembly (5).5. Rotate steering frame lock link (4) in the storage position on the front frame assembly (3). Install pin assembly (2), bolt (1), and the washer to front frame assembly (3).
