WRENCH A 5P4770 - Caterpillar

1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal.2. Remove the upper panels and upper frame structure necessary to remove the radiator. 3. Disconnect electronic sensor (1). Disconnect upper radiator hose assemblies (2). 4. Fasten a lifting device with Tooling (A) to top tank (3). Remove bolts (4) that fasten the top tank to the radiator and remove the top tank. The weight of the top tank is approximately 110 Kg (245 lb).5. Remove the rubber seals from the bottom of the top tank. Some of the seals may stay on the radiator cores. Remove the seals from the cores. 6. Remove two bolts (5) from each core that is to be removed.7. Remove the radiator core from the bottom tank.8. Remove the rubber seals from the bottom tank.9. Install the radiator cores in the reverse order of removal.10. Lubricate all rubber seals at the bottom and top of the cores with liquid soap just prior to assembly.11. Fill the engine and aftercooler cooling system with coolant and check for leaks. Refer to the Operation And Maintenance Manual for the correct capacity and fluid.
