1. Remove bolts (2).2. Support pivot shaft (1) with a hoist.3. Use forcing screws installed into the threaded holes (3) to separate the pivot shaft from the machine.4. Remove pivot shaft (1). Pivot shaft (1) weighs 36 kg (79lb). 5. Check the condition of seal (4) and ring (5) on pivot shaft (1). Replace as needed. The following steps are for installing the pivot shaft onto the machine:6. If ring (5) was removed from pivot shaft (1), heat new ring (5) to a maximum of 135° C (275° F). Install ring (5) onto pivot shaft (1).7. Install seal (4).8. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the pilot of pivot shaft (1).9. Use a hoist to position pivot shaft (1) onto the machine.10. Align the pilot and bolt holes of pivot shaft (10). It may be necessary to use bolts longer than original bolts (2) to press the pilot of pivot shaft (1) into the machine. After the pivot shaft has been seated, replace the longer bolts with the original bolts (2).11. Install bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 460 60 N m (340 40 lb ft).End by:a. install the track roller frame assembly
