Information:

start by:a) remove final drive ring gears, hubs and wheels 1. Remove bolts from plate (1). Remove Duo-Cone seal (3). Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the plate. Install three 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws in plate (1) and remove it from the brake housing. Weight of the plate is 120 lb. (54 kg). Remove seal from the plate.2. Install three 5/8"-18 NF x 3 1/2 in. long bolts (2) between the hub and spindle housing in three locations. Put enough force on the bolts to hold the hub in the center. 3. Remove plates (5) and discs. Fasten a hoist to tool (C). Put tool (C) in position under brake hub (4). Remove the brake hub. Weight of the hub is 60 lb. (27 kg).4. Disconnect the brake hose from back of the brake anchor housing to let oil drain from the piston. 5. Install three 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws (8) in the brake piston. Tighten the forcing screws and push the piston out until cotter pins (6) can be installed in return pins (7). Install a cotter pin in all of the return pins.6. Remove the three forcing screws and slowly push the piston back into the housing. 7. Remove retainer pins (9) from the return pins (7). 8. Remove the piston (10) from the housing with tool (C) and a hoist. Weight of the piston is 60 lb. (27 kg). 9. Remove the two seals (11) from the piston. 10. Remove bolts and locks (13) from the inner housing.11. Remove the inner housing (12) with tool (C) and a hoist. Weight of the inner housing is 50 lb. (23 kg). 12. Put the springs on the return pins under compression with tool (B). Remove the cotter pins (6) from the return pins. Slowly release the tension on the springs. Remove the springs and return pins from the housing.Install Wheel Brakes
1. Install the springs (3) on the return pins (2). Install the pins and springs in the inner housing with the spring in the counterbore. Put the springs under compression with tool (B). Install cotter pins (1) in the return pins to hold them in place, remove tool (B). 2. Put the inner housing (4) in position in the brake anchor housing. Install the bolts and locks that hold the inner housing in place. The inner housing can only be installed in one position in the anchor housing. Two of the return pins are closer together than the others. 3. Put clean hydraulic oil on the two seals. Install the two seals (5) on piston (6). 4. Install the piston (6) in the housing with tool (D) and a hoist. 5. Push the piston into the housing. Put a small amount of bearing grease on retainer pins (8) and install the retainer pins (8) in the return pins (2). 6. Install three 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws (7). Tighten the forcing screws to push the piston out until cotter pins (1) can be removed. Remove the cotter
