PROBLEM
338-9219, 343-8751, and 355-1242 Harness Assemblies in Dealer parts stock need to be inspected. Some of the Harness Assemblies may be an earlier revision level that incorrectly connects the CAN D to the COM2 port on the radio when installed on various D6T, D7E, D8T, D9T, and D11T Track-Type Tractors. When this connection occurs, the signal is processed as a fault by the GPS radio resulting in the radio resetting about every 15 seconds, the "Required Device Missing" warning to flash on the display, and the GPS radio shown as "Not Connected" in the Diagnostic dialog.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 338-9219, 343-8751, and 355-1242 Harness Assemblies in Dealer parts stock. Inspect the 338-9219 Harness Assembly in 375-1064 and 375-2698 Accugrade Retrofit Kits and the 343-8751 Harness Assembly in 388-2548 Accugrade Retrofit Kits in Dealer parts stock. Rework any 338-9219 revision 03, 343-8751 revision 02, or 355-1242 revision 01 Harness Assemblies. See the attached Rework Procedure.
SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES

Using the 155-2267 Plug Assembly, put the 856 wire into pin A and 857 into pin B and replace the wedge.
