Thickness of new top piston ring is 3.83 mm (0.151 inch).
2 1 306-4016 Piston Ring Install the intermediate piston ring with the side marked "UP-2" toward the top of the piston. Orient the colored faces to the right of the end gaps of the piston ring.
Clearance between the ends of the intermediate piston ring is 0.15 0.10 mm (0.006 0.004 inch).
Thickness of new intermediate piston ring is 3.005 0.15 mm (0.118 0.006 inch).
Width in the piston body for piston ring is 3.070 0.013 mm (0.1209 0.0005 inch).
3 1 306-4014 Piston Ring The spring ends of the oil control ring should be placed 180 degrees from the ring end gap. The colored stripe in the spring coil must be visible at the ring end gap.
Clearance between the groove and the new oil control piston ring is 0.45 0.15 mm (0.018 0.006 inch).
Thickness of new oil control piston ring is 3.980 0.010 mm (0.1567 0.0004 inch).
Width in the piston body for piston ring is 4.030 0.013 mm (0.1587 0.0005 inch).
4 1 180-7350 Piston Pin Lubricate the piston pin with clean engine oil before the piston pin is inserted into the piston body assembly and the connecting rod .
Diameter of the new piston pin is 59.975 0.005 mm (2.3612 0.0002 inch).
Length of the new piston pin is 89.80 0.15 mm (3.535 0.006 inch).
Bore in the piston assembly for the piston pin is 60.095 0.010 mm (2.3660 0.0004 inch).
5 2 250-2940 Pin Retainer Install the retainer ring with the opening towards top of the piston. Refer to Illustration 1.
6 1 151-5925 Bolt Torque to 40 8 N m (30 6 lb ft)
Thoroughly lubricate the entire piston in zone (A) with clean engine oil prior to assembly into the cylinder block.
After the piston rings have been installed, rotate the piston rings so that the end gaps are placed at 120 degrees distance from each other.
